Deck Building - Made Easy

Last summer I completed the third of four decks that wrap around our cabin south of Sundre, Alberta.  The job required me to use several extension cords plugged together to get power from an outside outlet to my workstation positioned near a small shed where I keep my tools and where I was cutting decking lumber and deck boards.

I found myself endlesslyy repositioning and unsnagging the extension cords as I moved from cutting the lumber and deck boards at my shed to the deck, where I was using a jig saw and power drills to screw the lumber and decking together.

The constant moving of extension cords added a lot of time to the job. I could have done the job faster if I had a VOLTstack generator like the ones offered by my new enterprise, Portable Power Solutions.  I could have moved my main workstation closer to the deck and eliminated all but one extension cord.  This would have allowed me to finish the job faster and with less frustration.

Portable Power Solutions’ generators are silent and run on Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries.

This year, when I finish this project, I will be using both a VOLTstack generator AND SUNstack solar panel to keep the generator topped up and ready to go. I think I will have a lot more fun doing the build and, at the same time, keep a little carbon out of the precious skies that we have come to enjoy out here!
